Beijing: December 16th, 2024:Federal Minister Prof Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary held an important meeting with Mr. Zhao Chenxin, Vice Chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission, during which the progress of ongoing projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was reviewed in detail.

Professor Ahsan Iqbal stated that the friendship between Pakistan and China is unique, everlasting, and unwavering. He emphasized that CPEC Phase 2 will elevate the economic relations between the two countries to new heights.

He declared Chinese workers and experts working in Pakistan as the nation’s heroes, stressing that their security is the top priority of the Government of Pakistan. He further stated that Pakistan is taking decisive action against terrorist elements, and those opposing CPEC will never succeed in their malicious intentions.

Prof Ahsan Iqbal highlighted that Pakistan is rapidly moving toward economic stability and will fully leverage China’s cooperation in the fields of agricultural and industrial development. He also reaffirmed his commitment to making industrial zones under CPEC a success.

Mr. Zhao Chenxin, Vice Chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission, termed the Pak-China friendship eternal and stated that Chinese President Xi Jinping and Pakistan’s Prime Minister are determined to turn the vision of CPEC Phase 2 into reality.
