Islamabad: May 19, 2026: Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Prof Ahsan Iqbal graced the Pakistan China Cultural Evening as the Chief Guest, organized by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Pakistan China Diplomatic Relations.
The event celebrated the enduring friendship, mutual trust, cultural harmony, and strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
Addressing the ceremony, the Minister stated: “The unique dimension of Pakistan-China friendship is that it has never witnessed a moment of autumn.”
He further remarked: “Our friendship is higher than the Himalayas, deeper than the sea, sweeter than honey, and stronger than steel. Today, it is even higher than the skies, as 2026 will mark Pakistan’s first astronaut travelling into space on a Chinese mission.”
Describing Pakistan and China as “all-weather partners” and “iron brothers,” the Minister emphasized that the evening was not only a celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations, but also a tribute to the countless diplomats, artists, engineers, students and ordinary citizens of both countries who, brick by brick and year by year, have woven the fabric of this extraordinary partnership and friendship.
