Islamabad: 26th March 2026: The 88th CPEC Progress Review / National Steering Committee Meeting was held on Thursday, 26th March 2026, at the Pak Secretariat, Islamabad, under the Chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal,with participation from over 20 federal Ministries, Divisions, and Provincial Governments.

The meeting reviewed progress across several agenda items covering key areas of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, including infrastructure development, energy, industrial cooperation, socio-economic development, and bilateral connectivity.

The Chair reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan's commitment to accelerating the implementation of CPEC projects under the CPEC 2.0 and China-Pakistan Five-Year Action Plan (2025–29) and directed all concerned Ministries and Divisions to ensure timely compliance with their respective action points in furtherance of strengthening Pakistan–China economic partnership.
