Beijing: August 2nd 2025: A landmark Agreement between National Vocational and Technical Training Commission NAVTTC and Hazza Institute of Technology was signed in Beijing, marking a new milestone in Pak-China cooperation on vocational and technical education.

This partnership will enable collaborative training programs, technology transfer, and the development of a sustainable manpower supply chain particularly for Chinese-led projects in Pakistan and beyond.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary emphasized the urgency of preparing Pakistan’s youth for the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. With CPEC entering its next phase, centered on industrial cooperation and business-to-business partnerships, the need for a skilled workforce is of fundamental significance.

Under the URAAN Pakistan program, skills development is a strategic pillar of the Government’s 5Es Framework. The Minister highlighted that every rupee invested in skills returns not only economic value but hope, dignity, and self-reliance.

With 1.5 million youth already trained under NAVTTC and 70% successfully placed, this new collaboration aims to scale up vocational excellence across key sectors including AI, robotics, green tech, and advanced manufacturing.
