Beijing: 8th May 2024: Federal Minister Prof Ahsan Iqbal  convened significant meetings with key Chinese Officials including, engagements at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation (SINOSURE), and China Development Bank (CDB). 

• During his discussion with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister His Excellency Sun Weidong, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal discussed further strengthening the 'All Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership'. 
• Both sides reviewed the progress to be made in second decade of CPEC, particularly focusing on the five corridors outlined by Chinese Vice Premier Mr. He Lifeng last year. 
• Emphasizing the necessity for enhanced Business to Business connections for the second phase of CPEC, the Planning Minister stressed the importance of facilitating visa issuance to Pakistani businessmen. 
• Additionally, both sides addressed the prompt execution of ML-I, KKH realignment, and other pivotal infrastructure projects in Pakistan.

Furthermore, Federal Minister for PD&SI Prof. Ahsan Iqbal presented a commemorative coin to Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong which was launched on the occasion of "Decade of CPEC".
