Project Objective

DIGITAL TERRESTRIAL TV BROADCASTING STANDARDS

Currently four digital terrestrial TV broadcasting standards are being used worldwide:

  • Advanced Television Systems Committee ATSC (USA)
  • Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial DVBT(Europe)
  • Digital Multimedia Broadcast Terrestrial DTMB (China)
  • Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting Terrestrial ISDBT (Japan)

The DTMB standard has been adopted by Cuba, Macao, Hong Kong and China

Terrestrial network of PTV is analogue which is required to be upgraded to Digital TV Transmission network
