The project objectives to develop water transmission pipelines from Swad Dam and Shadi Kaur Dam to Gwadar city to meet the future water demand of the city.

Project Progress Update
  • Phase-1, lying of pipelines from Swad Dam to Gwadar has been completed.
  • Phase-II laying an additional pipeline from Shadi Khau Dam to Swad Dam has also been completed.
  • Total of 158km pipeline, constructed to channel water from the Shadi Kor and Swad dams. Which has successfully resolved the water scarcity issue for the residents of Gwadar town.
  • Phase-III, Up-gradation of the water distribution system of Gwadar city is under way around 141 km new water distribution pipeline has been installed to ensure every household in the city has access to drinking water.
